Yosef Gebre

My name is Yosef and I'm a self taught illustrator from the South Bay Area. My work is comprised mostly of character and portrait studies. These characters personify various themes of Afro futurism; an examination of the African Diaspora within a science fiction context. I use acrylics, oil pastels, pens, and found objects as mediums. I've participated in various shows and displayed work at San Jose Zinefest, Philz Coffee, Boba Bar, Fireside Lounge, and most recently Trapxart.  I was also commissioned by the Yerba Buena Center of Arts (YBCA) for work featured in the Home Away From Project.
